Great for anyone who requires knowledge of research in areas psychology. It is a clear, straightforward read!

This book has saved me in my second year psychology course. It explains everything in a way that someone like me - to whom maths does not come naturally in any way whatsoever - can slowly and carefully follow, understand and revise. I've actually started looking forward to my statistics labs! Definitely a good buy, unlike many other suggested textbooks on my course. Completely worth it, especially if you intend to do more lab reports in the future.

I used to be scared of statistics but this book cured me.Well written, well structured and explains how to do tests in SPSS and (sort of) by hand... it doesn't explain a lot of the mathematical notations used in the formulas and I'm not doing maths, I'm doing psychology!Overall I'd recommend this, could have had more but it (mostly) does what it needs to.In addition to this book I use Miller and Haden (2006) "Statistical Analysis with The General Linear Model", which is free to distribute and well worth a gander. Goes into more depth with the explanations of some of the tests featured in this and is very well laid out and written, with some example questions and answers for you to try.

Very helpful in my level 2 statistics module, the language isn't dry like other textbooks and it is clearly formatted so that you can find what you're looking for very quickly. Can only recommend to other students!

Arrived quickly. Really helpful book, not just for psychology but it helped in biology too. Recommend for the clear and helpful, student-friendly way it is written!

I bought many statistics books as I am new to this field. This is by far the easiest to follow.
