I have given Valiant books 3, 4, and 5 stars.Mostly 4 and 5 stars.Rai volume one was amazing as is this (volume two) This was launched latter than alot of other books, I have been reading Marvel DC independents for 25 years. If I could rewrite my review of volume I would drop stars to emphasize this a 5 stars (as with volume 1).Rai is 5 star plus.Rai doubts father (all knowing ruler of Japan ) and starts to rebel. His comrades in arms come from various backgrounds with alot of their own reasons to help take down father. Yes it is set in the future, and with various technology themes sci fi, but more like 'total recall' than star trek.Leads into volume 3, so more to come. The individual issues come out monthly, in groups. As in not every month ~ but when ready, a storyline will come out. So trades are realised further apart than other valiant titles. Looking forward to the Hardcover, as my Rai trades get handed arround the most , and are well loved by non comic book readers.
